For Ontario residents with a valid health card, our second opinion service is completely free through OHIP coverage. For patients outside Ontario, the cost is $600 per review. Virtual review sessions are also available at $600 for a 20-minute session with a specialist.
We provide second opinions on a wide range of imaging studies including MRI, CT scans, X-rays, ultrasounds, mammograms, and nuclear medicine studies. Our team covers multiple subspecialties including neuroradiology, musculoskeletal, body imaging, cardiothoracic, breast, pediatric, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine.
Yes, you'll need to upload your imaging studies for our radiologists to review. You can upload images directly through our secure portal from a CD or via PocketHealth. If you need help retrieving your images from a hospital or clinic, our concierge team will assist you through the entire process.
While a referral is not strictly required to initiate the process, we strongly recommend involving your primary care physician or specialist. The final report is sent directly to your referring physician to ensure seamless follow-up care and coordinated treatment planning.
If you have your images on a CD, you can upload them directly through our secure patient portal. Simply insert the CD into your computer, navigate to the upload section, and follow the step-by-step instructions. Our support team is available to help if you encounter any issues during the upload process.
If your images are available on PocketHealth, you can securely share them with us through our portal integration. During the upload process, select the PocketHealth option and follow the prompts to authorize access. Your images will be securely transferred directly to our system for review.
Most second opinion reports are completed and sent to your physician within 48 hours of receiving your imaging studies. Urgent cases can be expedited upon request. You'll be notified via email as soon as your report is ready for review.
The detailed report is sent directly to your referring physician. You can also access your report through our secure patient portal. We ensure all communications are fully compliant with Canadian privacy regulations including PHIPA and PIPEDA.
